Zero Emission
A claim that a product, process or activity releases no greenhouse gas or pollutant emissions within a defined boundary, typically the point of use.
Definition
Zero emission describes performance with no emissions generated at the point of operation — for example a battery-electric vehicle with no tailpipe emissions or a renewable-powered process. The claim is boundary-specific: lifecycle emissions from manufacturing, energy generation or supply chains may still be significant.
