Whole-Body Vibration
Vibration transmitted to the entire body, typically through the seat or feet of vehicle and machinery operators, associated with back pain and spinal disorders.
Definition
Whole-body vibration is mechanical vibration transmitted to the body as a whole, most commonly experienced by drivers of lorries, tractors, construction plant and forklifts. Prolonged exposure is a recognised cause of lower back pain and degenerative spinal conditions.
