Definition
The Strategic Climate Fund is one of the two funds of the Climate Investment Funds (established 2008), providing targeted financing for piloting new approaches and scaling up climate action in developing countries. It hosts three programmes: the Forest Investment Program (FIP), the Pilot Program for Climate Resilience (PPCR) and the Scaling Up Renewable Energy Program in Low Income Countries (SREP), complemented by the Clean Technology Fund as the CIF's other arm.
