Definition

Safer Choice is a voluntary labelling programme of the US Environmental Protection Agency under which products — cleaners, detergents, deicers and others — are certified against the Safer Choice Standard, requiring every intentionally added ingredient to meet health and environmental criteria, alongside performance, packaging and VOC requirements.
